Domestic Goddess (Part I)

So, yes, I know it has been ages since the last time I was a good blogger!
But I have a few things that I have saved up to post on this blog over the last couple of months!

First of all I have some pictures of my homemade double chocolate cake and the homemade pink cookies I made a couple of days ago! The recipe for the cookies  will follow in the next few days!

I will have to confess, that the chocolate cake was not made from scratch. It was actually
a bake mix from Betty Crocker and so was the vanilla icing. But it still took some time to put together.

The cookies on the other hand are absolutely homemade by me!Including the pink icing!

The next two things that are on my "baking list" before Christmas are a traditional pumpkin pie and red velvet and chocolate cupcakes like the once I bought from "Cake". (Not that I will ever come close to making anything as delicious as these once. But one can always dream!)

I know it has been way too long since my last post, but a lot has been going on in my life. Topics for future post.
So on to the evet that inspired me to start writng on my blog  again.
I was non other than the Royal Wedding!

Hugo Burnand

When I was a teenager and we lived in London I had a big crush on Prince William (including a larg poster of him on my bedroom wall).
And, of course I just love Catherine Middleton! Her style is amazing. Elegant wth a touch of fashionista!Right up my alley........ What a lovly bride she makes in this stunning wedding dress by fashion designer Sarah Burton for British fashion House Alexander McQueen!

The couple was very glamorous at the last wedding party of the night.

I think this is the most beautiful picture of the two of them. I shows how much in love they are.

Mario Testino

Well I wish them all the best.May they have a long and happy life together!

The Weather Girl

Hello  again!

I know it has been  almost a month since I wrote post. There are some very good reasons for that. Well I was very busy with work plus I had some major issues with my laptop.  All is well now. My plan from now on is to keep up with my readers (if I have any yet!!!!).
So now on to the real  topic of my latest post. The Holiday Season!!!
I really  love the Holidays! Not that I don’t like summer, I do very much (could be  because I’m a Summer Birthday Girl), but Holiday season is the best! The cold weather outside, the family time, the yummy food and candy and of course family time.
Well this year we had no luck with the weather. At the moment thing here in Athens look a lot more like spring  than winter.

Homemade Pizza

For Sunday dinner I decided to make a nice homemade pizza. It has been so long since I last made it. I thought I would share it with my blog readers. (With some pics, too!)

Here are the ingredients:

- Pillsbury pizza dough
- mushrooms
- sliced turkey
- sliced ham
- 1 onion
- artichokes in oil and garlic
- mozzarella cheese
- canned tomato sauce
- oregano
- salt and pepper
- Greek olive oil

It is actually very easy to do and it is just delicious. Just a few easy steps to follow. First you mix the tomato sauce with the oregano, salt, pepper and oil. After that you put the pizza dough on an non stick oven tray and top it with the mixed tomato sauce and all of the other ingredients. Bake it for about 30mins.

Hope you like it!Let me know if you like it and also if you have any other ideas about the topping!

Buon Appetito!!!!!!!!

Cocktail Rings

Today I was looking through a magazine on my lunch break and saw some amazing rings from Piaget. I just loved the once that are inspired by  cocktails. They just give a new meaning to the word "Cocktail Ring".

All of them are just so pretty but my favorite has to be the Limelight Paradise Ring.

It have such  nice colors and it just is something totally different from all the normal cocktail rings that I have seen.
What do you think?Maybe it is just a little too dazzling..........but we all know "Diamonds are  a girls best friend!"
